Hati Community Achieves Tribal Status: A Triumph of Struggle and Culture Preservation

Members of Hati Vikas Manch, under the leadership of its President Pradeep Singta, placed a courtesy call to Governor, Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan today. He thanked the Governor for his cooperation in getting tribal status to the Hati community by the Central Government. The Manch has also sent a memorandum of gratitude to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi through the Governor, on behalf of the Hati community and thanked the Governor for the same.

Congratulating the members of the community, the Governor said that they have achieved this status after a long struggle. He said that the people of Giripar of Sirmaur must strive to preserve and promote their ancient culture proactively. “While celebrating festivals and other occasions, wear your traditional costumes and do not forget your rich culture,” said Shukla. Pradeep Singta said that they received extended cooperation from every section of the society in getting tribal status.

He expressed gratitude towards people for providing guidance and affection for the campaign. The Hati community thanks the central government for giving them their constitutional right, he added. Chief Spokesman of Hati Vikas Manch, Dr. Ramesh Singta and other members of the community including B.N. Bhardwaj, Ravindra Jasta, Mukesh Thakur, Pawan Sharma and Surendra Thakur were present on the occasion.
