Senior journalist Anand Bodh’s sudden demise condoled

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu have expressed deep condolence on the untimely demise of Anand Bodh, Senior Assistant Editor of The Times of India, who passed away today at IGMC Shimla due to cardiac arrest.

The Governor highlighted Anand Bodh’s unwavering dedication to journalism and his remarkable ability to bring attention to crucial issues concerning Himachal Pradesh. He said that Bodh’s deep understanding of the state’s dynamics and his commitment to truthful reporting made him a highly respected figure in the media community. “This is a significant loss for the journalistic fraternity and all who valued his insights. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace,” said the Governor.

The Chief Minister said that Anand Bodh’s sudden demise is a huge loss for the journalistic fraternity. He recalled Bodh’s long-standing service in Shimla and his roots in Himachal Pradesh, which gave him a unique perspective on the state’s issues. He said that Bodh’s dedication to highlighting these issues and his prioritization of the state’s interests were commendable.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri while mourning the sudden loss of Anand Bodh, said that ”having worked alongside dedicated journalists like Anand Bodh, I understand the challenges and the significance of their work in shaping public discourse.” He acknowledged Bodh’s strong commitment to journalism and his insightful reporting on critical issues in Himachal Pradesh. He said that Bodh’s dedication to truthful reporting and deep understanding of our state’s complexities made him highly respected in the field and his absence would be deeply felt in the journalistic community and beyond.

Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar and Director Information and Public Relations (IPR) Rajiv Kumar also expressed their heartfelt condolences on the passing of Anand Bodh.

They deeply mourn his untimely demise and recognize his significant contributions to journalism in Himachal Pradesh. “Anand Bodh’s dedication and insight would be remembered fondly by all who knew him,” they remarked.

Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan expressed deep grief at the sudden demise of Anand Bodh. Reflecting on their professional relationship, Naresh Chauhan recalled Anand Bodh’s insightful reporting and steadfast dedication to accurate journalism.
