The 8th day of the NCC Annual Training Camp at UHF Nauni commenced with a vigorous morning PT session, setting an energetic tone for the day. Cadets from various institutions exhibited great enthusiasm as they participated in the Drill competition, showcasing their discipline and coordination.

Following the Drill competition, a weapon training class was conducted. The cadets eagerly engaged in this session, gaining valuable knowledge and hands-on experience with .22 rifle.

The afternoon session featured a highly informative lecture on Women’s Legal Rights by Paridhi Thakur, Assistant District Attorney of District Solan. Thakur’s lecture was both enlightening and empowering, providing the cadets with essential information about their legal rights and the importance of legal awareness in today’s society.

In the evening, the focus shifted to road safety with a lecture that emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure safety on the roads. This was followed by a Tent Pitching competition, where cadets demonstrated their skills in setting up tents, an essential aspect of their training.

A significant highlight of the day was the continuous presence and active involvement of Camp Commandant Colonel Sanjay Shandil. Colonel Shandil personally interviewed the cadets throughout the day as part of the evaluation process for the Best Cadet award. His interactions with the cadets were deeply motivating, as he provided individual feedback and encouraged them to strive for excellence in all aspects of their training.

Colonel Shandil’s dedication and commitment to the development of the cadets were evident, and his presence greatly inspired the cadets to perform to the best of their abilities. The entire day’s activities reflected the comprehensive training and holistic development that the NCC aims to provide.
