International Lavi Fair In Shimla- Tradition and Trade

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, along with Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, inaugurated the four-day International Lavi Fair today at Rampur Bushahr. This historic fair, deeply rooted in both cultural and commercial significance, celebrates trade, tradition, and the spirit of unity across diverse communities.

In his address, Governor Shukla highlighted the Lavi Fair as a vibrant blend of commerce and culture, bringing together artisans, farmers, and cultural troupes from across the country. He described the fair as a “melting pot” of different cultures, echoing the rich legacy of Rampur Bushahr as a centuries-old center for trade and cultural fusion.

The Governor praised the artisans and performers who showcase their crafts, woollen textiles, and traditional art, providing an economic boost to local communities. He also offered prayers to Mata Bhimakali, seeking happiness and prosperity for the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of the Lavi Fair Organizing Committee, Anupam Kashyap, formally welcomed the Governor and provided an overview of the event’s activities. Various folk dance groups performed on the occasion, exemplifying India’s unity in diversity.
