Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reviewed the preparations for a grand rally to mark the completion of two years of the current State Government. The event, scheduled for December 11 at Luhnu ground in Bilaspur, is expected to witness participation from over 30,000 people.
The Chief Minister emphasized the theme of the celebration, “Vyavastha Parivartan Se Atmanirbhar Himachal,” and directed the district administration to ensure smooth arrangements for the rally.

Launch of new initiatives
The event will feature the launch of six new schemes aimed at benefiting various sections of society:
- E-taxi initiative under the Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Swarojgar Yojna
- Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojna, providing financial aid to children of widows for higher education
- Himachal Pradesh Shiva Project
- Him Bhog Atta Scheme
- Cow Dung Purchase Scheme
- Transfer of financial assistance to farmers for naturally grown maize procured by the government
Additionally, five Ayush Mobile Vans will be flagged off, and cheques will be distributed to beneficiaries of the Old Pension Scheme and Mukhya Mantri Sukh Ashray Yojna. The State Government will also honor freedom fighters during the event.
Leadership and participation
Rajiv Shukla, in charge of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee and General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), will be the Chief Guest.
The meeting was attended by Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, Additional Chief Secretaries K.K. Pant and Onkar Chand Sharma, Director General of Police Atul Verma, and other administrative officials. Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani participated virtually from Bilaspur. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of seamless execution to ensure the success of this significant occasion.
