Recently, Revenue, Tribal Development, and Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi inaugurated the Him Mahotsav 2025 at Dilli Haat, New Delhi. Organized by the Himachal Pradesh Government in collaboration with the Ministry of MSME, the event aims to promote Himachal as a Top Tourist Destination while showcasing its rich heritage.



Highlights of Him Mahotsav
- Exhibition of Handicrafts
Over 60 stalls display Himachal’s exquisite handicrafts and handloom products, attracting visitors from all over. - Himachali Cuisine and Folk Performances
The famous Himachali Dham and vibrant folk performances have been key attractions, giving visitors a taste of Himachal’s culture. - Awards for Artisans
The Himachal Handicrafts and Handloom Excellence Awards recognized artisans for their exceptional work in traditional and innovative crafts.
Wife of Revenue Minister Sushila Negi was also present on the occasion.
The Mahotsav being organised from 1st to 15th January 2025 at Dilli Haat where as many as 60 stalls are erected exhibiting Himachal handicrafts and weavers products by artisans. Himachali Dham and Himachali folk were the special attraction of the event. The Department of Tourism, Language, Art and Culture, Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts, Handloom Corporation Ltd. (HPSHHCL) have jointly organised the event.
Himachal Handicrafts and Handloom Excellence Awards were presented by the Minister to Artisans for their distinguished work. In Traditional crafts preservation category award was presented to O.P Malhotra, Ritu Dhiman and Poonam and Balveer (woodcrafts).
In Innovative craftsmanship category awards were presented to Indira Devi (Kullvi whims) Isha (Traditional Jewellery). In Young artisans awards category Veer Singh (Metal Craft), Ajay Sharma (Handloom), Jagdeesh (Handloom ) were winners whereas Community impact Award was given to Anshul Malhotra and Rajan Minhas.
The Mahotsav also serves as a platform to promote local artisans, helping them gain recognition on a national level.
