A spokesperson for the Women and Child Development Department informed that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will grace the state-level International Women’s Day celebrations as the Chief Guest at Chambi Maidan, Shahpur, in Kangra district on 8th March, 2025.
He said that Health, Social Justice & Empowerment, and Sainik Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil will chair the function, while Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh will grace the occasion as the special guest.
The event is organize by the Women and Child Department in collaboration with the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department.
The Spokesperson said that the event would also feature stalls by Self-Help Groups and government departments and “Mahila Vikas Protsahan Puraskar” would also present to outstanding individuals and organizations.
Apart from this various activities organized by the department to spread awareness regarding the welfare schemes and programmes of the state government among the women and girls at district and block levels.
