A Day – A Date

A day of gratitude soon to  Commemorate, On to Independence – August 15 The Date, A moment’s due without a snag,

Never Belief to ever sag,
To stand below our Tricolour Flag,

In Faith true, give the Land all that’s due
Salute Freedom now, still in view.

A new brief
Med-time has brought a relief, Grief, Old-time friend,
Belief Reigned-in, strained, Wise saw ingrain, Rhyming brief, New brief to reign.

Right and / Wrong
Right action for wrong, Rights the wrong,
With ease, in easy song
Truth’s own sight
Gives the mite a mite
Beckons the beacon’s
Blinding  beam of light
Compelling in its mighty might

Quitipin Quirk
It is not in the realms of previous psychotic speeds that are dared,
Nor primordial fears of snakes and other psychic allusions not to be shared
But rather in pharmaceutical interventions that now ensnare,
That the being is slowed down and judgement impaired.
