The Middle Day Annual Day of Auckland House School, Shimla, was celebrated with grandeur today. The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Preeti Kanwar Nagal, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Vocational Studies, HPU, as the Chief Guest. The occasion was graced further by the presence of Guest of Honour, Founder Principal Michael John, and Principal Reuben John from Auckland House School for Boys. The event showcased a variety of performances by talented young students from Classes 3 to 5. One of the highlights of the event was the hymn, ‘God Will Make a Way’, which carried a powerful message of hope even in the most difficult circumstances. The English play, The King’s Pocket Knife, was a humorous depiction of the quirks of life and emphasized the beauty in human imperfections.
The Hindi play, Dur Ke Dhol Suhavne, captured the audience’s imagination with its engaging storyline and impactful performance. Adding to the cultural vibrancy of the day were mesmerizing dance performances, including Marathi and Rajasthani folk dances, as well as the enchanting Kinnauri Natti, which enthralled everyone present.
Principal Smaraki Samantaroy presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s achievements over the past year. The day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, wherein the Chief Guest, Dr Nagal, awarded meritorious students for their outstanding achievements.
The event was a true celebration of talent, creativity, and dedication, leaving the audience inspired and entertained.
