A Trip Down the Lane — Old St. Thomasians Meet

An interaction of old students during the Alumni Meet at St. Thomas School, Shimla here today in the school premises bought back quite a few sweet memories — Kanchan Sharma with a twinkle in her eye, said, “It is a grand annual event and we wait to attend it as I really miss my school days and friends as those were the best years in my life”. School Principal Vidhupriya Chakaravarty said, “It is a great event for ex-students of the school as alumni from different age group get together to meet and interact with each other and share their experiences of the past and present. Engrossed in their own lives, it is a pleasant break for all of them to meet on this special occasion. Remembering and talking about school days made them all cheerful and happy”.

Sanidhi Sood, a teacher in a government school passed out her from St Thomas in 1998 and while remembering her old days she said, “School days were best. How we used to enjoy those days. I wish I could go back in time again and have that one chance to relive my memories”.

Principal Chakravarty warmly greeted all her special guests for the days as she welcomed the Alumni and the morning began with an enchanting dance performance full of passion and zeal by Tonika and Mandvi, ex-students of the school. Next was an engrossing play by present students which was appreciated by everyone. The School Band presented the song “Dil Sambhal Ja Zara”, which made the audience sing along after which a spirited dance performance was given by a 1996 batch student Sulakshana Jaswal. Another alumni, Neha Lal beautifully sung the songs Hum Thumey Chahatay Hai Ese and Aaj Janay Ki Zid Na Karo which received a huge round of applause from all present.

The Alumni Meet came to an end with a delicious lunch followed by a promise to meet next year to have more fun !!!
