CM Sukhu participated virtually in the third Apex Monitoring Authority meeting of the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Emphasizing Himachal Pradesh’s potential for large-scale investment, the Chief Minister called on the Centre to fast-track pending infrastructure approvals and strengthen transport links across the state.
Central to the discussion were two proposed investment-ready industrial parks under Phase 1 of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA). The projects—a ₹80 crore park over 75 acres at Beetan in Una district and a ₹154.39 crore park over 150 acres at Majholi in Nalagarh—are designed to feature modern plug-and-play facilities aimed at attracting top-tier manufacturers and creating substantial local jobs.
To complement these industrial hubs, CM Sukhu urged the Union Government to bolster the state’s transport and logistics network. He specifically requested the extension of the Baddi-Nalagarh railway line, noting that enhanced rail links would significantly slash freight costs, broaden market reach, and improve overall competitiveness for enterprises operating in Himachal Pradesh.
