Auckland House Girls’ School, Shimla, has once again made Himachal Pradesh proud by clinching the silver medal in the Under-19 category at the CISCE North Zone Volleyball Championship held at Aadarsh School, Karnal. The team delivered a stellar performance, overpowering strong opponents from NCR Delhi and Ludhiana with clean 2-0 victories in both matches.
The success not only earned the school the runner-up title but also a well-deserved qualification for the upcoming National Championship. Adding to the achievement, four players from the Under-19 squad—Vatsala Sewag, Himalika Sharma, Purva Kashyap, and Varsha Thakur—have been selected to represent the CISCE North Zone at the national level.
The school’s Under-17 team also showcased their potential, finishing in 4th place, further underlining the depth and consistency of the school’s sports program.
Principal Samarkhi Samanthroy congratulated the team and lauded the coaching staff for their unwavering dedication and hard work. “This achievement reflects the discipline, determination, and sporting spirit that Auckland stands for. We are proud of our girls,” she stated.
This accomplishment not only highlights the school’s growing legacy in co-curricular excellence but also reinforces Himachal Pradesh’s emergence as a rising force in the national sports arena.
