An Initiative by Soundarya Central School to Arouse Interest in Reading at the Young Age

A reputed school in Bangalore, Soundarya Central School conducts the event BOOK WORM 2022, with a noble cause of sowing the seeds of reading habits for the young and creative minds. This is the second anniversary of such a book event organised by Soundarya Central School. A new library “ Granthakuti” is set for children of age 3 to 8 considering their age appropriateness. The well equipped library with child friendly furnitures creates an ambience for soulful reading.

The junior library was inaugurated by Soundarya P Manjappa, chairman, Soundarya Group of Institutions. The programme was so unique and well organised to encourage parents and children to venture the world of books and reading. The art of storytelling waas presented by dramatisation, puppet show, story sequencing and fun activities. The book donation campaign for underpreviliged children added value to the programme. Book sellers had displayed age appropriate books.
