Army Recruitment 2027 : Agniveer Applications Open

The registration process for the 2027 Agnipath recruitment has commenced for eligible youth from Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, and Kinnaur districts, according to District Public Relations Officers quoting the Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Shimla.

Colonel Manish Singh, Director Recruiting at ARO Shimla, announced that online registration on the Indian Army’s official portal (www.joinindianarmy.nic.in) began on February 13, 2026, and will remain open until April 1, 2026. He highlighted that all candidates must complete registration through the official site within the stipulated period.

The website provides detailed information on eligibility requirements, educational qualifications, age limits, and other participation criteria for the Agnipath scheme. Prospective applicants are advised to carefully read all instructions before submitting their forms.

Eligible candidates can apply for up to two categories, subject to meeting the required conditions. Online exams will be conducted for various roles, including:

  • Agniveer General Duty

  • Agniveer Clerk/Storekeeper Technical

  • Agniveer Tradesman

  • Agniveer Technical

  • Agniveer Women Military Police

Exam schedules and centre details will be provided to candidates via their login accounts on the official portal.

Colonel Singh urged aspirants to confirm their eligibility and understand all recruitment conditions before applying, cautioning that applications failing to meet the criteria may be rejected. The Army Recruitment Office also recommended completing registration well ahead of the deadline to avoid technical issues at the last minute.
