The ARTRAC Investiture Ceremony 2021 was held on 23 Sep 2021 at HQ ARTRAC in Shimla. The ceremony was presided over by Lt Gen Raj Shukla, PVSM, YSM, SM, ADC, GOC-in-C, ARTRAC. ARTRAC has 33 CAT ‘A’ Training Establishments under its ambit, spread over the length and breadth of the country, looking after the training requirements of the Indian Army and students from Friendly Foreign Countries. During the Investiture Ceremony, Unit Citations for the training year 2018-19 and 2019-20 were awarded by the GOC-in-C to six CAT ‘A’ Establishments in recognition of their outstanding and meritorious contribution in enhancing the training ethos of the Indian Army.
The CAT ‘A’ Establishments which were awarded with the ARTRAC Unit Citations are Army War College, Mhow, Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Armoured Corps Centre & College, Ahmednagar, Simulator Development Division, Secunderabad, Junior Leaders Academy, Bareilly and Counter Insurgency & Jungle Warfare School, Vairengte. Commandants & Subedar Majors of respective CAT ‘A’ Establishments received the GOC-in-C ARTRAC Unit Citations on behalf of the CAT ‘A’ Establishments. The ‘Technical Excellence Award’ has been instituted by HQ ARTRAC for encouraging innovation and research in the field of training. On this occasion five officers, five JCOs and one Civilian Associate Professor were also felicitated with this award.
