Auckland House School for Boys hosted a spectacular Art and Craft Exhibition on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., featuring students from Nursery to XII. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Ms. Seema Mehta, Principal of Swaran Public School, Shimla, who served as the Chief Guest for this artistic extravaganza.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Michael A. John, the School Principal, and Mrs. Sunita John, the Director Principal of Auckland House School, extending their heartfelt greetings to the distinguished Chief Guest.

Creative Brilliance on Display

From the youngest to the oldest students, the exhibition was a testament to the creative prowess of the Auckland House School community. The little ones in the junior section showcased an array of imaginative items, including photo frames, key rings, piggy banks, and best-out-of-waste creations. Their miniature crafts, featuring musical instruments, houses, ships, airplanes, and cradles, left the visitors in awe.

The senior classes, on the other hand, exhibited their artistic talent through an assortment of models and charts, all centered on various subjects. The highlight of the event was the presentation of working models, including a mechanical arm and a photo synthesis model. These innovative projects were thoroughly explained to the parents in attendance.

Auckland House School also left no stone unturned in showcasing its students’ diverse talents. Ryansh Thakur took the stage to deliver Abraham Lincoln’s famous speech, “The Gettysburg Address,” while Samarth Gupta recited a moving poem titled ‘I Can’ by Paul Sebastian. These live performances were met with thunderous applause, and the young talents were praised for their exceptional deliveries.

The art and craft exhibits featured a wide range of creations, including Mayur paintings, nature paintings, sequin work, zari paintings, sand paintings, and 3-D artwork. Attendees had the opportunity to view and purchase key holders, key rings, wooden crafts, painted cushion covers, and tablecloths.

Community Support and Appreciation

Parents played a pivotal role in encouraging and supporting the young artists, with a large number of them attending the exhibition. Ms. Seema Mehta, the Chief Guest, applauded the dedication and hard work put in by both students and staff members of the school. The Auckland House School Art and Craft Exhibition concluded at 12 noon, leaving a lasting impression of creativity and talent in the hearts of all attendees.
