The Senior Section Speech Day of Auckland House School for Boys was held on 26th September 2024 in the school auditorium. The event was graced by Dr. Pankaj Lalit, IAS, Director of the Language & Culture Department, Himachal Pradesh, who served as the esteemed Chief Guest. He was warmly welcomed by Mr. Reuben T. John, Principal of Auckland House School for Boys, alongside Mr. Michael A. John, Founding Principal, and Ms. Smaraki Samantaroy, Principal of Auckland House School.
The program commenced at 10:00 a.m. with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a vibrant blend of music, dance, and cultural performances, showcasing the talents of the students. In his address, Principal Mr. Reuben T. John presented the Annual School Report, discussing the challenges in education, particularly the growing influence of technology on students, leading to a disconnect from real-world experiences.
The Chief Guest praised the efforts of the staff and students, endorsing the principal’s concerns about technology’s impact on today’s generation. The event also featured the prize distribution ceremony, with new awards introduced this year, including the Altiora Peto Award for Best All Rounder, D.J Prim Memorial Award for Excellence in Art, and the Dakshvir Singh Thakur Legacy Award for Basketball Excellence. The program concluded with the National Anthem, marking a successful celebration of student achievements.
