Auckland House School for Boys, Shimla, marked a significant milestone by celebrating its first Founders’ Day on September 6, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. The event commemorated 16 years of the school’s establishment and 10 years since the main school building was inaugurated. The celebrations began with a solemn Inaugural Service led by the Most Rev. (Dr.) P.K. Samantaroy, Chairman and Bishop of the Diocese, along with clergy, marking the dedication of the entire school community.
A key highlight was the unveiling of the new School Coat of Arms, symbolizing the school’s evolving identity. The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including Mrs. Sunita John, Director of Auckland House School, Mr. Michael A. John, Founding Principal of Auckland House School for Boys, and alumni, who shared fond memories during the reunion. The formation of the Auckland House Old Boys Association (AHOBA) was officially announced, enhancing the connection between past and present students.
Students showcased vibrant cultural performances, including an English play, the traditional Ghoomar dance, and the lively Ludi Himachali folk dance, paying tribute to India’s rich heritage. The day ended with an inspiring speech by Mr. Michael A. John, reflecting on the school’s journey and future vision.
