Auckland House Students Excel in Chess

Auckland House School Boys has reason to celebrate as two of its talented students, Jayesh Thakur and Samarth Gupta, have advanced to the State-Level Chess Championship. Their exceptional performance at the District Shimla Open Chess Championship 2025, held at Nangal Devi, Theog, under the auspices of the District Shimla Chess Association, earned them this prestigious qualification.

Jayesh Thakur clinched the Gold Medal in the Under-13 category, while Samarth Gupta secured the Silver Medal in the Under-17 category. Both players stood out among nearly 100 participants from across the district, demonstrating strategic brilliance and unwavering focus on the chessboard.

The school community has proudly extended its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Jayesh and Samarth as they prepare to represent the district at the state-level tournament. Their achievements mark a significant milestone for the school and serve as an inspiration to fellow students.
