The two-day National Workshop on “IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector,” organized under the National Ayush Mission, concluded successfully at KTDC Waterscapes, Kumarakom, Kerala. The workshop featured live demonstrations and detailed discussions on the Ayush Grid and associated digital platforms, highlighting the Ministry of Ayush’s efforts to build a unified, citizen-centric, and globally connected Ayush ecosystem.

On the final day, the Ayush Grid showcased a range of digital tools including the Ayush Hospital Management Information System (A-HMIS), e-Learning Management System (e-LMS), Yoga Portal, Y-Break App, and several others aimed at improving healthcare delivery, education, research, and regulation in the Ayush sector.

Representatives from seven states shared their experiences in adopting digital solutions, addressing best practices and challenges. The workshop concluded with a group discussion to develop a common protocol for digital integration, which will be submitted to the Ministry of Ayush for future policy formulation.

In her inaugural address, Kerala’s Health Minister Veena George emphasized the importance of embracing rapid technological advancements while preserving traditional values. Ayush Secretary Rajesh Kotecha highlighted the necessity of adopting digital tools to enhance accessibility, affordability, and quality of services in the Ayush sector.

The event brought together 91 representatives from 23 states and union territories, along with 155 participants including senior officials, technical experts, and policymakers. A field visit to Ayush facilities in Kerala’s districts of Kottayam, Alappuzha, and Thrissur is scheduled for September 20-21, providing practical insights into Kerala’s pioneering digital health initiatives.

This workshop marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards a future-ready, dynamic, and citizen-focused Ayush digital health ecosystem.
