It was a day full of joy and excitement as the students and staff of North Oak Public School, Sanjauli, celebrated the festival of Baisakhi in the school premises. The function began by informative speeches on Baisakhi, Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti and Himachal Day by school teacher Ravinder, as these events fall consecutively on 13, 14, 15 of April, 2019. Children were told about the importance of celebrating Baisakhi and the values of adhering to our traditions and culture.

The dance performed by the students of class II, III and IV were full of vigour and excitement, as they danced on the tunes of Bhangra and Naati. The tiny tots of class Nursery and Kindergarten performed their part by presenting small action rhymes on Baisakhi.

The prize distribution function was also a part of the same function. The children were overjoyed to receive their respective prizes for the last year’s competitions they had won.

The day ended on a productive note as an amalgamation of upliftment of cultural and academic excellence. Director-Principal Namita Lal congratulated the students and staff on this occasion and encouraged them to always strive for being better.
