You nurture creativity, you get amazing results — as was witnessed during the Art and Craft Exhibition of the Lower Primary Department of Auckland House School, which was held in the school premises here today. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Principal of the Orchid Prep School, New Shimla, Neelam Vij who was warmly greeted by the tiny tots and staff as she unfolded the ribbon and stepped into a world of creativity. Ideas, concepts and models galored as she took a walk around the hall. Accompanying her was the Director Principal of Auckland House School, Sunita John, Principal, Auckland House Boys School Michael John and the teachers of the junior wing. Each class had something special and new to offer, which left both the chief guest and parents surprised as well as awe-struck.

Some were nervous, some were very soft, barely audible, but still impressed the chief guest and the parents alike with their cuteness. One could view the potted flowers with photographs of kids, beautifully painted butterflies and frog cut outs and much more. Amazing creativity was shown by children through their projects on Village Life, Uses of Plants, Natural Calamities, Pollution, Good Living and the Journey of Milk. Introducing the concept of reuse and recycle, craft work presented by the children was also made from waste material. They made wind elephants, rocking toys, sofa sets, puppets, pencil holders, boats, thumb paintings, cards, photo frames, dolls, drums and scrap books. Beautiful collages were also made as all the students helped in preparing different craft items for the exhibition.
