Every blood drop saves a life — 25 Units of Blood Collected during the Blood Donation Camp organized by Keekli Charitable Trust
1st Donor was Mr Vivek Mohan from Shimla and last donor was Mr Rajan from Yamunanagar.
A blood donation camp was organized on the Ridge, Shimla, by Keekli Charitable Trust – Little Feet, Big Stride, here today. Based on the theme, “Every Blood Donor Is A Life Saver”, Mrs Pramila Nanda and Mr Jagjit Nanda graced the occasion as the chief guest and inaugurated the camp. Both, Mrs & Mr Nanda appreciated the work of social upliftment done by the Keekli Charitable Trust, saying that the team was doing a commendable job and appreciated the efforts undertaken to educate the students by holding a Poster/Banner Making Competition, thus disseminating the message to donate blood and create awareness.
During this one-day blood donation camp, tourists, who came to Shimla, including locally conscious blood donors, showed interest and donated blood thus ensuring their participation in this Mahadan.
A team of doctors from Kamla Nehru Hospital, headed by Dr Kanchan, gave their services in the blood donation camp that started at 11 a.m. in the morning.
The banners displayed at the camp were from various city schools as well as from St Luke’s School, Solan. The best adjudged banners as selected by our eminent guests were 1st, Saisha Oberoi, Class 7th St. Luke’s Senior Secondary School Solan; 2nd Anika Sharma Raghav Public School
Baldeyan, 3rd Tamanna Gupta, Raghav Public School, Baldeyan. These banners with important messages will later be displayed at the blood bank in KNH.
Keekli Trust team gave certificates to all the donors as a token of appreciation.
Keekli Charitable Trust President Vandana Bhagra, Vice President Namita Lal, Secretary Ritanjali Hastir, Treasurer Tarandeep Kaur, Trustees Isha Kumra, Mamta Rakra, and Shalini Prasher were present.
