Big Boost for Karsog: CM Flags Off ₹132.8 Cr Projects

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several development projects worth a total of Rs. 188.8 crore in the Karsog region. In a significant boost to the area’s infrastructure and public services, he dedicated multiple completed projects to the people, reflecting the government’s focus on holistic development.

Among the inaugurated projects were the Combined Office Building, constructed at a cost of Rs. 34.25 crore, and the Subject Matter Specialist Horticulture Office Building, built for Rs. 1.67 crore. Additionally, the Panchayat Community Centre in Triman, developed at Rs. 29.51 lakh, and the beautification work of the Mahunag Temple Complex, completed at Rs. 90.11 lakh, were also inaugurated. Other projects include various works in Maindhi Gram Panchayat costing Rs. 71.57 lakh, the Health Sub Centre at Bhanthal built for Rs. 13 lakh, the Gram Panchayat Community Centre at Sui Kufridhar developed at Rs. 32.74 lakh, and the Apna Pustakalay (Library) at the Combined Office Building, constructed at Rs. 13.75 lakh.

Alongside these inaugurations, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for several upcoming projects aimed at improving sanitation and connectivity in the region. A major sewerage system for Karsog and its adjoining villages will be developed with an investment of Rs. 55 crore. Road infrastructure projects include the upgradation of the Bhakhrot-Karsog-Sanarli-Sainj road at Rs. 31.80 lakh, the Kheel to Bhagelu road at Rs. 13.18 crore, and the Kheel to Bhagelu (Kelodhar Garjoob) road at Rs. 19.75 crore. Other road improvements include the Chhalog to Baghail road costing Rs. 11.06 crore and the Kelodhar to Sainj road upgradation at Rs. 18.60 crore.

These projects collectively aim to enhance the region’s administrative facilities, healthcare services, religious heritage sites, sanitation infrastructure, and road connectivity, thereby improving the quality of life for residents and fostering overall regional development.
