The State Cabinet in its meeting held here today has taken historic decisions to benefit the teachers appointed under SMC Policy. It decided to delete Clause -10 of the SMC policy and add new provision in the clause 9 of the Policy to safeguard the future of the SMC teachers. It also decided to provide ten leaves per year to every SMC teacher and to give benefits of maternity leave to the SMC teachers.
