Delhi Public School (DPS), Shimla, celebrated the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami on its campus with immense enthusiasm, religious fervor, and vibrant cultural performances. The event brought together young students to showcase their creativity while reflecting on the timeless teachings of Lord Krishna.

The celebrations commenced with a solemn prayer presented by the students of UKG, setting a devotional tone for the event. The tiny tots subsequently delivered a lively dance performance portraying the playful innocence and charm of Bal Krishna, captivating the audience.

Further enriching the cultural lineup, students from Classes I, II, and III staged an engaging theatrical skit depicting the divine birth of Lord Krishna and the spiritual significance of Janmashtami. Through confident performances, the young actors highlighted the core message of the festival—the triumph of righteousness over evil and the enduring power of hope.

Addressing the gathering, Headmistress Veena Chauhan commended the students and faculty for organizing a memorable event. “This celebration beautifully blended devotion, creativity, and tradition. The divine story of Lord Krishna truly came alive through the exceptional talent and enthusiasm of our young learners,” she remarked.

The event provided students with an opportunity to connect with India’s rich cultural heritage through prayer, dance, and drama. The festive spirit resonated throughout the school campus, concluding with a message of compassion, faith, and unity.
