
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class XII Board Exam Result 2025 today. The announcement was made by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, in the forenoon. Over 17 lakh students appeared for the examinations this year, which were conducted from 15 February to 4 April 2025.
Key Highlights of CBSE Class 12 Result 2025:
- Total Students Appeared: 16,92,794
- Total Passed: 14,96,307
- Overall Pass Percentage: 88.39%, a rise of 0.41% from 2024
- Girls’ Pass Percentage: 91.64%
- Boys’ Pass Percentage: 85.70%
- Transgender Students: 100% pass rate
- Students Scoring Above 90%: 1,11,544 (6.59%)
- Students Scoring Above 95%: 24,867 (1.47%)
- Students Placed in Compartment: 1,29,095 (7.63%)
Region-wise Pass Percentage (Top 5 Regions):
- Vijayawada: 99.60%
- Trivandrum: 99.32%
- Chennai: 97.39%
- Bengaluru: 95.95%
- Delhi West: 95.37%

The Delhi region (East and West combined) recorded an impressive overall pass rate of 95.18%. The performance of foreign schools also remained strong, with a pass percentage of 95.01%.

- Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV): 99.05%
- Central Tibetan Schools (STSS): 98.96%
- Government Aided Schools: 91.57%

CWSN Candidates (Children with Special Needs):
- Total Appeared: 5,668
- Total Passed: 5,280
- Pass Percentage: 93.15%
- Above 90% Marks: 290 candidates
- Above 95% Marks: 55 candidates
