CBSE Invites Self-Nominations for National Awards to Teachers 2024–25

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially opened the self-nomination process for the National Awards to Teachers 2024–25, a prestigious recognition conferred by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Each year, this award honours outstanding educators who have made remarkable contributions to school education. For the upcoming cycle, CBSE will recommend six educators from among its affiliated private independent schools.

Self-Nominations for National Awards to Teachers FORM

Who Can Apply?

🔹 Teachers:

  • Must have completed at least 10 years of regular teaching in a school affiliated with a recognized Board of School Education by 31st March 2025.

🔹 Principals:

  • Must have 10 years of teaching experience and 5 years as a Principal in CBSE-affiliated schools by 31st March 2025.

🔹 Retired Educators:

  • Those who retired on or after 31st March 2025 are also eligible to apply.

🔹 Important Notes:

  • Principals are not permitted to apply under the ‘Teacher’ category.

  • An applicant may apply under only one category: either Teacher or Principal.

Interested educators are encouraged to prepare their self-nominations in accordance with the detailed guidelines to be made available soon on the official CBSE website: cbse.gov.in
