Auckland House School for Boys celebrated its Senior Section Speech Day and Year-End Award Ceremony with great pride and enthusiasm, marking the culmination of a successful academic year. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Satwant Atwal Trivedi, IPS, Director General of Police, Himachal Pradesh Prisons and Correctional Services, and an esteemed alumna of Auckland House School for Girls. Her distinguished career continues to serve as an inspiration for the younger generation.

The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the Head Boy’s Report and the Principal’s Annual Report, presented by Reuben T. John. In his address, the Principal highlighted the school’s academic advancements, including redesigned report cards for the Senior School, the introduction of Phenomenon-Based Learning (PhBL), and faculty training under the International Award for Young People (IAYP). He emphasized that the school’s mission goes beyond academics—aiming to instill resilience, character, and a sense of purpose in every student.

A key highlight of the event was the Variety Entertainment Programme, showcasing an impressive range of student talents. The performances began with the Opening Hymn “As the Deer Pants” and featured English and Hindi plays, choir performances, instrumental music, and energetic dance recitals. Notable acts included the Senior Choir’s lively rendition of Rasputin”, the UPD Choir’s “Five Hundred Miles” and “O Susanna”, the English play “The Apple”, and the Hindi play ‘Sapnon Ki Udaan. Traditional dances like Bihu and Bhangra added cultural vibrancy, while a melodious piano recital by Varchasav Shyam and a spirited performance by the School Band added further charm.

In her address, Satwant Atwal Trivedi inspired students to uphold values of discipline, courage, and national service. Drawing on her personal and professional experiences, she stressed the importance of perseverance and integrity in achieving one’s goals. She also applauded the Principal, faculty, and students for their commitment to holistic education, and lauded the day’s programme for its creativity, discipline, and excellence.

The event also featured a prize distribution ceremony, recognising student achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. The school’s year-round accomplishments included accolades in volleyball, shooting, cycling, and athletics, with students excelling at both state and national levels.
