Shimla Nursing College, Shurala, held its Annual Fresher’s Program and Oath-Taking Ceremony themed “Bloom – Freshers Growing into Their Best,” welcoming new students into the nursing profession.
The event highlighted values of care, compassion, and service, with the institution reaffirming its commitment to quality education and modern training facilities.
Distinguished guests included senior officials from IGMC Shimla, DDU Hospital, and AIMSS Chamiana, along with college leadership.
The Miss Fresher contest was a key attraction. Ms. Prachi (GNM 1st Year) was crowned Miss Fresher, while Ms. Taniksha Chauhan and Ms. Kritika secured first and second runner-up positions respectively.
Speakers emphasized skill development, practical training, and awareness on drug abuse prevention. College authorities encouraged students to pursue excellence and make the most of placement opportunities in leading hospitals across India and abroad.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
