A high-level review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta to assess preparations for the upcoming visit of President Droupadi Murmu, scheduled from April 27 to May 2, 2026.
The meeting reviewed the status of decisions taken in the previous session held on April 18, 2026, and discussed key arrangements to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the presidential visit.
Detailed deliberations were held on security arrangements, issuance and regulation of security passes, traffic management, media coordination, and other logistical requirements. Preparations for the President’s proposed visits to Kangra, Shimla, and Lahaul & Spiti districts were also reviewed.
The Chief Secretary stressed the need for seamless coordination among all departments and agencies, strict compliance with security protocols, and timely completion of all arrangements. He directed officials to ensure all necessary measures are in place for a safe and well-organized visit.
