Charming and Impressive Performances by JCB Students during Annual Concert

Students of JCB Senior Secondary School, Shimla celebrated their Annual Day here today at the historic Gaiety Theatre, The Mall, Shimla as the City Mayor Sanjay Chauhan presided over the function as the chief guest and Deputy Mayor Tikendar Panwar was present as the guest of honour, who were warmly welcomed by the School Director Dr Tilak Bhardwaj, Member Director Jagmohan Malhotra, Director Kushal Malhotra and School Principal Sarojini Bansal. The event began with the lighting of the event of the lamp by the chief guest, followed by a Saraswati Vandana and a Welcome Song by the students of Class 10. Principal Bansal then read the school report and elaborated on the activities and achievements of the students and the school over the past year and the present academic session.

It was then time for the colourful variety entertainment programme as the tiny tots from classes Nursery and Kindergarten presented a nice fusion dance, followed by a recitation. Different cultural items presented by the students were quite impressive and loved by all present as the Nepali Dance, Bihu Dance and a Western number left the audience mesmerized. The highlight was the ever so famous Himachali Naati touching everyone’s hearts. An educational and enlightening play on environment and its importance in our lives was presented which touched the hearts of the audiences.

The day ended on a happy note as the chief guest awarded prize to all the brilliant students and congratulated them on putting up a great show which such enthusiasm and passion.
