Chief Minister inaugurates Manpura Police Station; Arsenal building of 6th IRB Dhaulakuan built with world class technology

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated 10 projects of Police Department constructed at a cost of Rs. 24 crore and laid foundation stone of 16 new projects of Rs. 55 crore virtually medium from Shimla, today.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister while congratulating the Police Department directed to complete the construction of all the projects on time.

He said that all the buildings of the department have been designed on world-class standards. He said that the swimming pool being constructed at PTC would be used as a water disaster management center and swimming training would also be provided to the Police personnel.

He said that all necessary facilities in the workplace are being provided to the employees of the Police Department in a time bound manner. At present the accountability of the Police Department has increased manifold.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government was committed to ensure the welfare of the employees of the Police Department and many steps were being taken in this direction.

He said that the police personnel have also contributed a lot in achieving the 100 percent target of giving the first dose of vaccination to the eligible adults in the state. He also congratulated the Police Department for this achievement.

Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that the police personnel have played a commendable role during the Corona crisis. They ensured the discharge of their duty in spite of adversity. He said that efforts would be made to modernize Shimla Sadar police station under Smart City Mission.

Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu welcomed the Chief Minister and expressed his gratitude for inaugurating various projects and laying the foundation stones. He detailed about various activities and developmental works of the Police Department. He said that efforts have been made to create parking and other facilities in the newly constructed buildings. Efforts are being made to modernize the department, he said.

HP Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Rajinder Garg, MP Kishan Kapoor, Chairman of 6th Finance Commission Satpal Singh Satti, MLAs Dr. Rajiv Bindal, Inder Singh Gandhi, Vishal Nehariya, Paramjit Singh Pammi also participated in the programme through virtual medium and expressed their views.

Deputy Speaker Dr. Hans Raj, MP and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap participated in the program through virtual medium.

 Additional Director General of Police Venugopal and other senior officers of the Police Department were also present on the occasion.
