Students of St Thomas School were welcomed to a sweet surprise on Saturday morning as the school management had planned a Christmas Party for the kids. Dressed in colourful clothes, enacting the story of birth of Lord Jesus and carol singing was part of the celebrations. Another surprise element was the entry of Santa Clause who distributed sweets and entertained the kids with his loving acts. Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty said, “We celebrate all the festivals in our school so that children become aware of culture despite belonging to any religion. It is almost the end of our session and soon we will break for winter holidays, hence this day was planned for the little ones”.
NCC Day Celebrations
Another event held in the school on the same day was the NCC Day Celebrations. Poster Making and Creative Writing competitions were held for the NCC cadets on the theme of ‘Swachh Bharat’. The school principal presided over the function as the chief gues and was impressed at seeing some amazing work done by the kids. She also sensitized the students about the importance of a clean environment. The winners were awarded certificates.
