During his return Journey from Solan last evening Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu made an impromptu visit to Kandaghat to inspect the ongoing construction of a hospital building and playground.

Local residents informed the Chief Minister that the construction of the 50-bed Kandaghat hospital, initiated during the previous Congress government with an allocated budget of Rs. 14 crore, had been stalled during the tenure of the preceding BJP Government.

The Chief Minister assured the residents that the state government would restart the hospital’s construction and allocate the necessary funds to complete the project. He directed the Health Department to promptly submit a proposal for resuming the construction work to the state government.

Following the hospital inspection, the Chief Minister also visited the Kandaghat playground, where local residents requested the expansion of the facility to provide more space for the youth to engage in sports activities.
