Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today held video conference with Deputy Commissioner’s of the state to take stock of the Covid situation. He directed all the districts to complete second dose of vaccination till 30 November, 2021 with special focus on elders as most of the deaths are being seen in this age group. He said that 72 percent population has been given second dose of vaccination in the state and the Panchayati Raj Department has been asked to hold special gram sabhas on 15 and 26 November, 2021 to motivate people for vaccination.
Jai Ram Thakur said that special focus should be laid on proper care of Covid patients in home isolation as most of the deaths being reported were among them. He said that district administration must keep close contact with patients in home isolation and serious patients should be shifted to the hospital. He also stressed that vaccination drive must be carried on priority in high altitude areas, keeping in view the possibility of snowfall. Health Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal, Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh, Secretary Health Amitabh Awasthi gave their valuable suggestions during the meeting.
