The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank has been providing efficient and reliable banking services to about 16 lakh consumers through its 218 branches and 23 extension centres located at remotest parts of the State. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while inaugurating new campus of Rohru bank branch of H.P. State Cooperative Bank virtually from Shimla today.
Chief Minister said that the Cooperative Bank has achieved new milestone by surpassing the magical figure of Rs. 19000 crore gross businesses in the State. He said that the bank has provided loan of Rs. 1448 crore to people of the State engaged in agricultural activities. He said that during the corona pandemic, the bank through its Emergent Credit Line Scheme has provided banking service to the consumers.
Jai Ram Thakur said the Rohru branch of the bank has succeeded in providing loans to the tune of Rs. 28.31 crore to over 1050 Kisan Credit Card holders. He said that under the Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojna, this branch has provided an amount of Rs. 1.10 crore to the beneficiaries.
Chief Minister said the bank was also providing modern banking services to the consumers through a network of over 100 ATMs. He said that bank was also providing services like UPI enabled Digital Services, Google Pay, Phone Pay, IMPS, PFMS, RTGES/NEFT and mobile banking to ensure efficient services to the consumers.
Chairman H.P. State Cooperative Bank Khushi Ram Balnahta while thanking the Chief Minister for inaugurating this new campus of the bank and detailed various activities of the Bank.
