Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of eight development projects amounting to Rs. 79.60 crore at Pragpur for the Jaswan Pragpur Assembly Constituency in Kangra district.
During the programme, the Chief Minister inaugurated a Model Career Centre at Kasba Kotla constructed at a cost of Rs. 6.14 crore, a Treasury Office building at Rakkar built at a cost of Rs. 78 lakh, additional accommodation at Government Senior Secondary School Saleti constructed for Rs. 1.04 crore and an office building of the newly created Jal Shakti Vibhag division at Jaswan Pragpur costing Rs. 1.74 crore. He also inaugurated the SDPO office at Dadasiba and Police Stations at Dadasiba, Sansarpur Main and Sansarpur Terrace.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones of several major infrastructure projects, including the Pirsaluhi (Kangra) to Kitpal (Hamirpur) link road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 9.60 crore, a Rs. 25.16 crore sewerage scheme for heritage villages Garli and Pragpur in tehsil Pragpur, Rs. 16.12 crore check dams and dykes on various nallahs and khads under the Rakkar Jal Shakti Vibhag Sub-Division of Jaswan Pragpur constituency, and a Rs. 18.96 crore system improvement scheme for the construction of a 33/11 KV GIS Sub-Station at Kasba Kotla under the Electric Sub-Division of Sansarpur Terrace in Kangra district.
These projects are expected to significantly strengthen civic amenities, infrastructure and public services in the Jaswan Pragpur Assembly Constituency.
