Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has once again demonstrated his humane bond for destitute children here today, when 69 children of Balika Ashram Tutikandi, including 16 orphans, were specially invited by the Chief Minister to watch the proceedings of Vidhan Sabha. The children, who had never got an opportunity to witness the assembly proceedings earlier, were elated to be there.

The Chief Minister, who has been making continuous efforts for the welfare of destitute children since taking over the reins of the State, interacted with the children during their visit to Vidhan Sabha and also had lunch with them and asked them about their experience in the assembly. During conversations with the children, he highlighted the government’s initiatives for their welfare, including the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray Scheme’ and the initiatives to be taken for their higher studies and educational tours out of the State. Health Minister Dr. (Col). Dhani Ram Shandil, Industries Minister, Harshwardhan Chauhan, PWD Minister, Vikramaditya Singh, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sanjay Awasthi and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion amongst others.
