Chief Minister today inaugurated a new City Police Post at Jwalamukhi in Kangra district, falling under Police District Dehra. Highlighting the religious significance of the area, Sukhu said the new post would enhance safety for the thousands of pilgrims who visit the revered shrine from across the country.
In a bid to further strengthen emergency response infrastructure, CM Sukhu also laid the foundation stone for a new fire post at Jwalamukhi. The project, costing ₹5.36 crore, is expected to be completed in 15 months and will include a dedicated parking space for fire tenders and staff quarters. He instructed BSNL’s engineering wing to ensure timely completion of the work.
The event was attended by MLA Sanjay Rattan, HRTC Vice Chairman Ajay Verma, DIG Abhishek Dullar, DC Hem Raj Bairwa, and SP of Dehra Police District, Mayank Chaudhary.
