Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur participated in the joint conference of Chief Ministers of states and Chief Justices of High Courts at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Conference and addressed the inaugural session. The Joint Conference of Chief Ministers of States and Chief Justices of High Courts is held for effective coordination of efforts towards providing speedy justice to citizens of the country.
During the day-long Conference, the Executive and the Judiciary discuss ways to find common ground for synergizing efforts towards this end. Union Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju and Chief Justice of India Justice NV Ramana also addressed the Conference. Chief Justice HP High Court Justice Mohammad Rafiq, Principal Secretary Home, Bharat Khera and Principal Secretary Law Rajeev Bhardwaj were also present.
