CM Sukhu Honoured Para-Athlete Nishad Kumar

Nishad Kumar, who bagged silver medal in high jump in the Para-Athletics World Championship-2023, called on Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday late evening. The Chief Minister congratulated Nishad Kumar for his remarkable achievement and praised him for being a true source of inspiration, particularly for the youth of Himachal.

Sukhu lauded Nishad’s exceptional talent and unyielding spirit, which has brought laurels to the State. He said that his extraordinary determination and strong willpower was an ideal example for the specially-abled youth, thereby inspiring them to participate in such events. Nishad Kumar has also claimed the silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics in 2020. The Chief Minister wished him continued success in such future events and expressed confidence in his ability to shine up to the mark globally. MLAs Chaitanya Sharma and Sudarshan Singh Bablu were also present on the occasion.
