Governor Kavinder Gupta officially unveiled Drops of Change: Impactful Stories of Jal Shakti Department, Himachal Pradesh during a ceremony at Lok Bhavan. Conceptualized under the direction of Deputy Chief Minister and Jal Shakti Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, the publication was edited by Principal Secretary Dr. Abhishek Jain to capture the state’s ongoing water management achievements.

The compilation brings together close to 100 field success stories from across the state, illustrating major developments in drinking water access, irrigation infrastructure, flood mitigation, and water conservation. It highlights critical progress made through major national programs like the Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, and Catch the Rain, as well as high-impact projects funded by international partners such as the Asian Development Bank and New Development Bank.

Speaking at the launch, Governor Gupta praised the engineers, field workers, and staff for ensuring reliable water delivery across Himachal Pradesh’s tough terrain, emphasizing that these initiatives have meaningfully elevated rural living standards. Dr. Abhishek Jain added that the book acts as a repository of institutional memory, turning individual project successes into a strategic blueprint for future water management and planning.
