CM Sukhu Launches HRMS: Empowering Governance With Technology

In a significant move towards bolstering efficient governance, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) for the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. The state government’s initiative underscores its commitment to harnessing technology for streamlined administration and service delivery.

The newly launched HRMS will revolutionize the management of Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for approximately 5,500 employees across the two departments. The user-friendly platform is set to simplify and expedite HR processes, ensuring enhanced transparency and overall efficiency in the system

Looking ahead, the State Government plans to augment the HRMS with additional modules, including features for managing Transfers, Postings, and Service Books for Zila Parishad employees. This strategic expansion will further strengthen the capabilities of human resource processes within the administration.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized the need to incorporate artificial intelligence in the department’s functioning to meet future demands for improved public services. He directed the department to undertake all tasks online to maintain a transparent and corruption-free system. The State Government remains dedicated to achieving its goal of corruption-free governance, and technology integration serves as a vital pathway to realizing this vision.

The HRMS launch event witnessed the presence of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthy, MLA Rajesh Dharmani, Principal Advisor to Chief Minister (IT and Innovation) Gokul Butail, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Bharat Khera, Secretary Digital Technology and Governance Abhishek Jain, Secretary Health M. Sudha Devi, Secretary MPP and Power Rajiv Sharma, Secretary Jal Shakti Vibhag Amitabh Awasthy, Secretary Rural Development Priyatu Mandal, Director Information and Public Relations Kiran Bhadana, and other senior officials.
