CM Sukhu on Wednesday spoke over the phone with Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa and families affected by the cloudburst in Boh valley to review the situation and ongoing relief efforts.
The Chief Minister sought details about the damage, safety of residents, restoration of essential services and the steps being taken by the district administration. He directed officials to ensure immediate assistance and effective rescue and rehabilitation measures for all affected people.
The Deputy Commissioner, who was present at the spot, briefed the Chief Minister about the ongoing operations. Sukhu said he would soon visit the affected area to assess the damage personally. He assured that the state government would extend all possible support to families whose houses were damaged and urged people to remain alert in view of the forecast of heavy rainfall in the coming days.
