CM Sukhu Seeks Higher Borrowing Limit for Himachal

CM Sukhu met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Monday, requesting an increase in Himachal Pradesh’s borrowing limit amid financial strain caused by recent natural calamities.

During the meeting, Sukhu detailed the severe economic impact of the recent heavy rains and flash floods in the state and sought additional central assistance to support recovery and reconstruction efforts.

The CM also discussed various state-related financial matters with the Finance Minister. He was accompanied by Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena and Principal Advisor Ram Subhag Singh.
