Thrill-seekers have a major new destination in Himachal Pradesh! Operating virtually from Shimla, CM Sukhu officially launched adventure water sports activities across the stunning Kol Dam reservoir at Aehan in Mandi district. Spanning an expansive 35-kilometer stretch from Aehan all the way to Tattapani, the project transforms the picturesque reservoir into an action-packed playground. Tourists can now zip across the pristine waters on speedboats and jet skis, enjoy group thrills on banana and bumper boat rides, or take in the panoramic mountain scenery aboard a sleek 20-passenger mini-cruise boat.
Beyond the adrenaline rush, the initiative marks a transformative step for the local economy. CM Sukhu emphasized that tapping into Kol Dam’s immense natural beauty will unlock a wave of employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for regional youth, boosting family livelihoods and driving state revenues. Drawing parallels to similar successful tourism ventures in Bilaspur, the Chief Minister reiterated his administration’s goal to position Himachal Pradesh as a premier global hub for experiential and adventure tourism. Celebrating the launch, former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sohan Singh Thakur praised the CM’s visionary leadership, stating that turning these long-awaited plans into reality will accelerate local self-reliance and invigorate the entire region’s hospitality sector.
