Coaching Centres, Educational Institutions Closed till Jan 26

In continuation of State Executive Committee (SEC) order dated 05-01-2022 by Ram Subhag Singh, Chief Secretary cum Chairperson, State Executive Committee, Himachal Pradesh and considering the recent surge in COVID-19 cases across the State along with threat of Variant of Concern “Omicron”, the undersigned in the capacity of the Chairman, State Executive Committee (SEC), in exercise of the powers conferred under the Section 22(2)(h) and Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, here by directs that-

All educational institutions (Government, Semi government or Private) which include Schools/Colleges/Universities/Academic Institutions/Engineering Polytechnic Colleges /ITIs/ Coaching Centers will remain closed up to 26.01.2022 in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

The Residential schools will also remain close for the period. All Nursing and Medical colleges will however remain open and will ensure observance of the COVID-19 SOPs and safety protocols issued by the Health Department.

Penal Provisions:
Any person violating these measures will be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of Section 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC, and other legal provisions as applicable.

This Order shall remain in force, in all parts of the State with immediate effect till further orders.
