The message of brotherhood and secularism was delivered by the tiny tots of SHEMROCK Buttercups School, Khalini, during their annual day celebrations “Colors of India” held at Gaiety Theater. They delivered a message in a loud voice that those who use religion for their own benefit are detestable. We are against such a situation and will not allow it. Those who use religion in such a manner have fooled our people as they presented various dances from different state like Bhangra, Gujarati, Bengali, Kawali and many others to name. During the event Rani Pratibha Singh, ex-member Parliament presided over the function as the chief guest. She appreciated the efforts put in by the school staff to train students at such a young age and highlighted the role of a good teacher in life of any student. She recalled her school days and remembered her teachers who helped in moulding her life.
She asked parents to give their children wings to fly and become a good citizen so that they can achieve new heights in the field of their interest. She said we need to strive collectively to make Himachal a proud state and that depends on the future generation, which is looking upto us for guidance and support and we should always be their to support them with a patient ear.
Students other than presenting various dances of India also showcased their patriotism by dancing to tunes of Chakde India and Suno Gaur Se. Another mesmerizing dance performance was also presented where students looked like angles on earth. Students demonstrated their oratory skills as they narrated poems and gave introductions to various items.
The highlight of the show was a ramp show where each student presented the umph factor and won hearts of spectators with their adorable catwalks. Ex-students too presented a foot taping, power packed dance performance which in itself showed that the students of SHEMROCK have a very bright future.
Principal of the School, Umang Banga presented the annual report and highlighted the various activated that were taken up by the school for the over all development of the students. She thanked her staff for their support and for making the show a grand success.
