Students of Sarasvati Vidhya Mandir, Parechi, presented a remarkable stage performance as they celebrated their annual day at the Kali Bari Hall, Shimla. The show stared by lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Sanjeev Thakur, Shimla M.C Councilor Ward No. 2 along with other distinguished guests.
The show was full of various cultural performances ranging from native culture to western dance and songs, a skit play and a mime to entertain all. The entire show was based on theme of “Save Girl Child” and “Patriotism”. The play gave a message to educate a girl child and help her become an independent person who can survive in this harsh world. It further stated that the time has come to change our outlook towards our girls.
The mime was enacted that showed the changes that Gandhi brought in our nation. His simplicity is the right way to adapt and live a happy life. His teachings are the best guide that can lead us out of the difficult situation.
Students presented a beautiful “Phari Nati” that not only entertained all but the parents groved on it as well. Other dances included “Ghoomar”, dance on an English song, and “Banyan” dance to name a few. The intense performance on “Shiv Tandav” by the little one made the spectators spell bound. The School Annual Report was also presented highlighting various achievements of the students throughout the year. Students were awarded for their outstanding performances during the academic session 2017. A few of the winners among others were Gaurav, Priyanshi, Nishant, Shabnam, Kunnal, Srishti and Arushi.
Sanjeev congratulated the staff and parents for their great efforts and wished them all best of luck for their future endeavours.
